Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. today (Thursday) in the Chapel of Carver Funeral Home for John H. Chaffin, 80, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Russell Dale, on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Chaffin had been ill only about ten days before his death.
Mr. Chaffin was born in Allen County, KY and was reared in Jackson County, TN. Most of his adult life head been spent in Putnam County. For many years he was employed by the Tennessee Central Railroad but in later years was a farmer.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one brother, Palo Chaffin, Cookeville; and two daughers, Mrs. A. A. Allen and Mrs. Russell Dale, Cookeville.
Interment will be in Cookeville City Cemetery
