Miss Georgia Hortense Edwards, who with her sister, Mrs. Mary Edwards Brown, has been living at the Lincoln homestead in South Eighth street, died early yesterday morning following a several weeks illness resulting from complications.

Miss Edwards was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edwards who were custodians of the homestead before Mrs. Brown took charge. Miss Edwards also leaves a brother, Ninian Wirt Edwards of this city and a nephew, Remann A. Brown of New York City. Miss Edwards' relatives include some of the best known people of the city. Members of both her father's and mother's famly were among the early settlers of Springfield. Miss Edwards was well known in the activities of the St. Paul's Episcopal church, of which she was a member. She also was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
