Colene Dale Compton was born November 22, 1933 in Breckenridge, Texas to Charles Compton and Eugenia Marie Stapp Compton. She grew up in Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School. She married Troy Allen on July 11, 1974 in Eolian, Texas, where they were also members of the Eolian Community Church. She was a member of The Woman’s Forum and enjoyed her weekly bridge games. Mrs. Allen worked at First National Bank in customer relations until she retired in 1991. In her younger years, Colene enjoyed bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her one son, Tracy Charles Pennington and wife Isabel of Morton Valley; one daughter, Coda Riley of Possum Kingdom; one sister, Gwenda Lindley of Breckenridge; five grandchildren, Jeter Riley and wife Kristi, Joni Tribble and husband Scott, Anthony Elizalda, Jessica Kubiak and husband Josh, Jesse Pennington and wife Jessica; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
