Mr. Baty
Funeral services for J. H. (Tata) Baty, 52, of Fairfax, are scheduled to be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Baty was born in Chambers County, July 16, 1924 and died Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital, Langdale, after an illness of one week. He was a retired employee of the Shawmut Mill.
Burial will be in the Shawmut Cemetery with the Rev. J. H. King and the Rev. Ed White as ministers for the services.
Survivors innclude, his widow, Mrs. Rosa Lee Word Baty, one son, Joseph L. Baty, Huguley, three daughters, Lee Baty, Miss Vertice Baty and Miss Anna Mae Baty, all of Fairfax, two sisters, Mrs. Glemma Williams, Shawmut, and Mrs. Idella Vaugh, Fairfax and 2 grandchildren.
