TOWN OF MARSHFIELD, WASHINGTON COUNTY, VERMONT
Nathaniel LAMBERTON came to Marshfield from Croyden, NH in 1805 and settled near Nob Hill. His wife was Lucy CUTTING, who bore him 13 children, 10 of whom lived to maturity, viz.: 1-Clarissa, 2-Elijah, 3-Samuel, 4-Lucinda, 5-Nathaniel Jr., 6-Obediah, 7-Alfred, 8-Silas, 9-Reuben and 10-Wellington. 1-Clarissa married Friend N. AUSTIN and had seven children. 2-Elijah married Lona COLE and their children are: Laura, Matilda, Roxana and Simeon. 3-Samuel married Joanna COLE and their children are: Edgar A. and Emily. 4-Lucinda married Ira CONVERSE and had two children. 5-Nathaniel Jr. was thrice married and the father of three children. 6-Obadiah married Irena BULLOCK who bore him six children, viz.: George, Jane, Moses, Henry C., Irena and Alfred E. 7-Alfred married Maria TAYLOR who had five children. 8-Silas married Cyrena LOVELAND and three of their five children are living. 9-Reuben married Amy BENJAMIN who bore him two children. 10-Wellington married Lucinda MORSE who was the mother of five children.
