"Dr. Richard Brown died Tuesday at his home in Chicago of heart failure. Deceased was a son of the late Richard Brown of Canfield and here spent the early years of his life. He practiced his profession in Chicago about a quarter of a century. His age was 54 years. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons, both of whom are in the army. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters – Attorney E. N. Brown and Fred Brown of Youngstown, Ralph Brown of Worcester, Mass., Maurice Brown of Boston, Miss Thalia Brown of New York and Mrs. Harriett McCracken of Chicago. The remains will be brought to Canfield Friday and laid to rest in the village cemetery."
