From Sizer Genealogy by Lillian Hubbard Holch, in 1779 Anthony entered U.S. service in the War of the Revolution for the term of two years. He was in Capt. Ephraim Chamberlain's Company, in the Regiment commanded by Col. Swift and Lieut. Col. Johnson Willcox; was Adjutant in the Lord Sterling Brigaide. He received a certificate of 10 months and 20 days and a written discharge and 21 pounds for his service.
In April, 1782, he again enlisted at Middletown as a private. He was a Sergeant Major (name spelled Siser).
In 1843, Lucretia his widow, a resident of Blandford, applied for a widow's pension and stated that Anthony Sizer died Oct. 17, 1840, at Blandford, Mass.
