Mrs. Lauritz Larson, Ojibwa Resident, Dies at Age 83

Mrs. Martha Larson, 83, a resident of Ojibwa, passed away on Wednesday, May 22.

Mrs. Larson was born in S(?)dal, Norway on January 1, 1880. At the age of 17 she came to the United States, living at Elroy, WI, for a number of years. She was married to Lauritz Larson in Mauston on Oct. 14, 1903. They lived at Mauston for a while and then came to Ojibwa in 1934 to make their home.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Clement of Mauston, Wis, and Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Chicago; one son, Leonard of Denver; three brothers, Thomas Stenbor of Mauston, Olaus of Rib Lake, WI, and Lawrence of Cooperstown, ND; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from Zion Lutheran Church in Winter on Saturday afternoon with Pastor Gottfrid Carlson officiating. Interment was in the Winter Cemetery.
