At The Home of Daughter in Tabor City--Daniel J. Nance, 76, of Nakina, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. D. Stephens, in Tabor City Monday morning at two o'clock. Death followed a long period of illness, and he had been critically sick for the past three weeks.
Surviving are his widow and the following children: Willie Nance of Rocky Mount: Alvie Nance, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Andrew Nance, of Moorehead City: Mrs. Elvie Clewis of Cerro Gordo; Mrs. Alice Godwin, of Old Dock; Mrs. Frances Stephens, of Tabor City; Mrs. Tom Brock, of Whiteville; Mrs. Walter Long, of Nakina; Mrs. Charlie Faulk, of Tabor City; and Mrs. Jim Lee, of Little River,

Mr. Nance was twice married the first time to Miss Alice D Milliken, of Brunswick County, and the second time to Miss Callie Jones of Bug Hill township in this county.
Deceased was a member of the Seven Creeks Baptist Church in Bug Hill township. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock at the home by Reverend A.R. Soles, pastor of the deceased, and burial was made in the family cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Everett Little, Kelly Little, Bob Canady, Bennie Little,
George Little, and Win Little.
