Walter A Davis moved to Los Angeles, CA in the early 1900's. He was a butcher employed by the Grand Central Market for several years. In May of 1918 he married Ethel Lewis in Los Angeles CA. They had two sons, Ralph & Roy in 1923. He was one of the early market pioneers of the Yucaipa Valley since he started the Davis Market in the 1930's. The Davis family was very active in the community and church affairs.
