BROWNING, James "Jim" Wesley, 72, of Lutz, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004. He resided in the Tampa Bay area for the past 48 years, coming from South Carolina, and was a member of the Gateway Assemblies of God Church. Mr. Browning owned and operated Acme Signs in Tampa, Brandon Signs in Brandon, and Jim Browning Signs in Lutz over the last 48 years. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Browning. Survivors include his loving wife, Elva of Lutz; son, Wesley D. Browning and wife Melinda and their children, Ashley, Brandon, Justin, Andrew and Trevor; daughter, Linda M. Hansen and husband Gary and their children, Jay, Kenney and Sonia; and daughter, Annette L. Severance and husband Perry and their children, Michael and Victoria. Services will be conducted Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Gateway Christian Center in Tampa. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Plant City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund at Gateway Christian Center, 14200 Central Ave. North, Tampa, FL 33613, in Mr. Browning's name.
