According to Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles, found on Ancestry.com, Robert B. Robinson, who resided in Richmond, Vermont, enlisted on August 20, 1861 at the rank of Sergeant, serving the State of Vermont. According to records, he was a Prisoner of War and he did survive the war. He enlisted in Company K, Vermont 5th Infantry Regiment on September 16, 1861 and was mustered out of service on October 20, 1862.
