John Bell Kell was born in Bell County, Texas January 25, 1861, died January 27, 1933, age 72 years and 2 days.
He was married to Susan Rebecca McSpadden January 3, 1881. Mrs. Kell passed away April 5, 1919.
To this union were born five children: Mrs. Florence Quinn of Fort Worth, Texas; R.C. Kell of Pampa, Texas; Viva Novey of Thatcher, Colorado; Gladys White of Glorietta, New Mexico and Maidee Kell of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Two brothers survive, Frank Kell of Wichita Falls, Texas and F.M. Kell of Maxwell, New Mexico.
Five sisters survive who are Mrs. G.J. Gibbs, Vernon, Texas; Mrs. Luther Thompson of Wichita Falls; Mrs. Mrs. R.C. Nixon of Clifton, Texas; Mrs. L. C. Hughes of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Addie Rebel of Houston, Texas.
All of his children were present at the time of his death.
Mr. Kell had been ill for several weeks and seriously ill for more than a week prior to his death.
Mr. Kell moved to Cheyenne in 1919 and has been an active citizen all these years. He had a host of friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted last Sunday morning in the Methodist church of Cheyenne with Rev. J.L. Chunn in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. J.H. Bradley. Pall bearers were W.F. Pankey, Jack Leary, John Casady, Chesney Tidwell, C.V. Rice and Dr. C.E. Pyatt.
The remains were taken to Wichita Falls, Texas for interment.
Miss Maidee Kell who lived with her father here has the sympathy of her many friends here. She now with her brother in Pampa, Texas.
