Wayne Earl Gaunt
Entered the Heavenly Realm on July 26, 2010. Earl was born To Mary Grace and Clarence Milton on August 8, 1921 in Bakersfield California. Earl proudly served in the Navy from 1941-1947. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Samoa and San Diego. Earl retired from Pacific Bell after working for 30 years in the greater Sacramento region. He enjoyed many happy retirement years touring California, Oregon and Nevada in his R.V. Earl was known as "Grumpy" to all who loved him. A name he lovingly aquired from his twin grandaughters. He is preceded in death by wives; Betty(married 25 yrs), Lena (married 15 yrs) and Rose (married 8 yrs), Daughter Shirley (David) McPherson, stepsons Ron and John Long and Grandson Fred Mathis. He leaves a daughter and a son, stepchildren,15 great grandchildren and 5 great great granchildren. He is a descendant of John of Gaunt of England and Deboun Knights of Normandy.A memorial service to honor Earl and his incredible lifes journey will be held at Mt. Vernon's Court of Honor in September. Date will be forthcoming.
