Troy Steele was born December 16, 1934, the son of the late Elsiha and Anna Roberts Steele and departed this life on Monday morning, January 15 in the St. Josephs Hospital in Lexington, reaching an age of 61 years.

On April 11, 1959 he united in marriage with Mary Jane Davis who makes her home in Monticello and to this union two daughters survive, Lisa Steele ad Gina Dishman and her husband Gary, with one granddaughter, Brianna Jane.

Also surviving are three sisters, Helen Keeton, Maudie Burks and Tella Roberts; two brothers, Clevie and Golman Steele; with may nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

One sister, Edna Davis and four brothers, Herbert, Loren, Essie and Bobby precedes him in death.

In 1984 Troy accepted Christ as his Savior and in 1985 became a member of the Old Union Separate Baptist Church where he remained faithful as long as his health permitted.
