CHARLES AMES, 73
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Beebe Funeral Home for Charles Paul Ames, 73, of Hudson, who died Wednesday morning at the Hillsdale Community health Center where he had been a patient for five days.
Burial will be in Sunset View Cemetery.
Mr. Ames was born December 1, 1894, in Hudson, the son of Frank and Dollie Masters Ames.
A resident of the Hudson area all his life, he attended Hudson High School, farmed and was an employee of Consumers Power Co. in Jonesville until his retirement in 1960.
he was also married in Hudson to Sarah Louise Norris who died April 28, 1957. A brother, Robert, also preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter, mrs. kenneth (Evelyn) Reed, 227 Steamburg Rd., Hillsdale, with whom he resided the past several months; two sons, Lyle of Hudson and Charles of Quincy; two sisters, Miss Helen Ames and mrs. Rex (Emiley) Likely of Hudson; five brothers, Henry, Clifford, Byron, Frank and Earl, all of Hudson; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Beebe Funeral Home tonight (Thursday) from 7:00 to 9:00.
