Mary Leipper (Cameron) Finch, 1923-2007. Mary, long-time resident of Flying Shot Lake District, passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital on March 13, 2007 at the age of 84 years.Mary was born January 26, 1923 to Alex and Margaret Cameron early pioneers of the Flying Shot Lake District. She married Lloyd Finch on January 10, 1942 and they celebrated their 65th anniversary this past January.Mary is survived by her loving husband Lloyd, 4 sons; Tom (Jean), Bob (Ruth), Bill (Brenda) and Jim (Yvonne Rogg) and two daughters; Linda (Roy McAusland) and Irene (Bill Auger). Mary will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and all of her "adopted" children who called her Mom or Grandma. Also surviving Mary is her younger brother Alex (Jean) Cameron also of Flying Shot Lake District.Mary's family and friends were always her first priority. She was an avid knitter, crib player and loved traveling.Mary was predeceased by her parents, her infant son Eddie, brother Ted (and sisters-in-law Ann and Claris), great granddaughter Emma Finch, father-in-law Slim Finch and mother-in-law Fanny Gilroy.A memorial service to celebrate this remarkable lady will be held Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Forbes Presbyterian Church, 9635-76 Ave, Grande Prairie.Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Mary's memory to the Golden Age Centre or the charity of one's choice.Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel & Crematorium
