She made the best Banana Cake and Apple Struddle and she loved having company and playing Crazy 8s.
She married the local boy William Henry Harmsen in 1916. Their only child, Lorene Ann, was born in 1921.
She was very good at needlework and crocheting. Her favorite color was yellow. They owned a bright yellow 1957 Chevrolet that her husband bought because it was yellow.
After her husband died suddenly of a heart attack in 1957, she came to live with her daughter Lorene for about a year. She passed away in a nursing home in Vienna, Virginia in 1968.
