Poppa was born in Picher, Oklahoma and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1923 his mother preceded him in death,then again in 1927 his father preceded him in death. Shortly after his father died him and his two other siblings were taken into the custody of the sand springs home where he met the love of his life Katherine Nora Sulzbach. Soon after he turned legal age katherine and poppa were soon married. they were blessed with four boys, and three girls. Poppa was a member of the NORTHEASTERN WOODCARVERS CLUB OF OKLAHOMA.Poppa also was the head maintenance manager at the local TULSA OSTEOPATHIC HOSPITAL. they were blessed with several grandchildren, great grandchildren , and several great great grandchildren, and numerous great great great grandchildren.
