USS Randolph (CV-15)
On 7 June, while loading supplies in the Philippines, a P-38 Lightning piloted by CAPT Lewis M Gillespie practicing strafing runs lost control and crashed against the deck of the Randolph, killing thirteen sailors and destroying ten of Randolph's aircraft.
