Frank served as a Second Lieutenant & Co-Pilot on B-25D #41-30771, 405th Bomber Squadron, 38th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Burlington County, New Jersey prior to the war.

B-25D #41-30771 took off, with a crew of 5, from Durand Airfield, Papua New Guinea on a strike mission over Astrolabe Bay, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea.

They were hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed into Astrolabe Bay. The entire crew was lost.

Frank was declared "Missing In Action" in this crash during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
