Frederick served as a 91st Bomber Squadron, 27th Bomber Group, Light, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Grafton County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 31, 1940, prior to the war, in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a mechanic and also as Single, without dependents.

He was taken prisoner in the capture of the Bataan Peninsula & Corregidor, Philippine Islands in April & May, 1942. He was held at Japanese POW Camp 4, O'donnel, Tarlac, Luzon, Philippines 15-120.

Frederick "Died While A POW" of the Japanese Army during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart & the Prisoner Of War Medal.

Service # 11014890

He also has a "Cenotaph" in the Wells Cemetery, Canaan, New Hampshire.
