Son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Pansier who resided in Little Suamico, Wisconsin.

Norbert served as a Staff Sergeant & Gunner on B-25C #41-12982, 90th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Group, Light, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Oconto County, Wisconsin prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on February 5, 1942 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in transportation and also as Single, without dependents.

B-25C #41-12982 took off from Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea on a bombing mission attacking anti-aircraft installations at Buna, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea.

Over the target, this B-25 sustained a direct hit on the wing, causing it to catch fire and crash near the shoreline. 1st Lt. Lindsay & S/Sgt Hill were able to parachute out however they were never seen again.

Norbert was "Killed In Action" in this crash during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
