Son of Mrs. Maude E. Hudson who resided in Burlington, Vermont.

John served as a Private First Class, 172nd Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Chittenden County, Vermont & was a member of the Vermont National Guard prior to the war.

His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on February 24, 1941, prior to the war, from Burlington, Vermont. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as a Salesperson and also as Married.

John "Died Of Wounds" received in action during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
