Entered the service from Missouri.

Marine Corps ace with Squadron VMF-121. Seven confirmed kills in the Guadalcanal/Solomon Islands campaign, for which feat he was awarded the Navy Cross.

Lieutenant Narr was shot down while intercepting a flight of Japanese fighters and bombers over Guadalcanal on 11 November 1942. He was officially declared dead on 19 February 1945, and posthumously promoted to the rank of Captain.
