Amedeo served as a Sergeant on B-25J #43-36044, 498th Bomber Squadron, 345th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in New Castle County, Delaware prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on January 7, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Driver and also as being Married.

Amedeo was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-25 was lost over the South China Sea during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
