Son of Ralph M. Skillman and Margaret Skillman.

Ralph, who resided at 129 East Main Street, Newark, Delaware, served as a Aviation Ordnanceman, Second Class on the U.S.S. Suwannee (CVE-27), U.S. Navy during World War II.

Ralph was declared "Missing In Action" in the Pacific region during the war.

He had served in the Navy for one year and two months at the time of his death and was decorated with the Purple Heart.
