LtJg., U.S. Naval Reserve, World War II, Pearl Harbor Survivor-Lt. Bull has been classified as Missing on 4-5-1942 in the Netherland East Indies.
He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Harcourt Bull, now of Atlantic Beach, Florida, and the husband of Mrs. Ruth Parks of Peoria, Illinois, and the father of one son, Richard Jr., and they were married in Honolulu, Hawaii in late 1940, and she returned to the states after the Pearl Harbor Attack.
Lt. Bull enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 16, 1938 at Miami, Florida, and did his training at the Naval Air Station at Pensacola, Florida, and earned his Wings on October 10, 1939. He would be assigned to Patrol Squadron 22 flying PBYs, Catalinas.
Awards: Distinguish Flying Cross, Purple Heart Medal, Ensign Bars, Wings, Pacific Campaign Medal with Two Battle Stars, American Defense Medal, WWII Victory Medal.
