Cpl. U.S. Marine Corps, World War II-Cpl. Edenburn was lost on a mission in the South Pacific on 3-14-1943, and classified as Dead & Missing on 3-15-1944.

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. John W. Edenburn of 185 Anna Avenue in Bellevue, Illinois, and is 1936 graduate of Woodruff H.S., and was in the Marine Corps by October of 1941, and did his training at Camp Elliott, California, Coronado Air Ordnance School, and the bomb sight technical school in Dalgren, Virginia.

He does leave one brother, Pvt. Lyle & Mrs. Velda Edenburn of Peoria, and three sisters, Mrs. Shirley Baldwin, Mrs. Patricia McCoy, and Mrs. Donna Henderson all of Peoria.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, American Defense Medal, American Campaign Medal, Pacific Campaign Medal with One Battle Star, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal.
