Oreste George Natiello was the son of Oreste George Natiello Senior and Pauline Hamlin. He had a half brother, Jack Hamlin, and a sister, Louise Natiello. George was never married and had no children. He died at the age of 20.

George was a bombardier with the 13th Air Force, 42nd Bomber Squadron, 11th Bomber Group, Heavy. The B-17E he was on, nicknamed the "Yokohama Express", was shot down near Guadalcanal in the Shortland Harbor area by the Japanese during a mission he volunteered for. Of the four planes that went out, only one returned. George's body was never recovered and he was MIA until Jan. 11, 1946, at which time he was officially declared dead. He had made 54 flights before his death.

George was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf clusters, and the Purple Heart.

His name is on the Tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery, Manila, Philippines.
