Alexander served as a Technical Sergeant on B-24D #41-24017, 400th Bomber Squadron, 90th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He resided in Belmont County, Ohio prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 29, 1941 at Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Office Clerk and also as Single, without dependents.
Alexander was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-24, which took off from 5-Mile (Ward) near Port Moresby on an armed reconnaissance mission over Wewak, was believed to have failed to turn a proper course back to base and was lost at sea during the war.
He was awarded a "Silver Star" and the Purple Heart.

Alexander's brother, GM3 Fred Kouski, was also declared "Missing In Action" during World War II.
Alexander also has a "Cenotaph" in the Saint Anthonys Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio with his parents and brother with the incorrect month & year of his passing on his headstone.
