Son of Robert H. Brock who resided in Dayton, Ohio.

Raymond served as a Second Lieutenant & Pilot on A-20C #42-54157, 672nd Bomber Squadron, 417th Bomber Group, Light, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Montgomery County, Ohio prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 20, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Draftsmen and also as Married.

A-20C #42-54157 took off, with a crew of 1 and 2 passengers, from Gusap Airfield, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea on an administrative mission to Dobodura Airfield, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. A-20C #42-54157 crashed, for an unknown reason, in a largo Sago swamp between the Gira & Mambare rivers. The two passengers survived the crash.

Raymond was declared "Missing In Action" in this crash during the war.
