Bryan served as a Technical Sergeant on B-25C #41-12483, 13th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Group, Light, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Bryan was normally assigned to the Headquarter's Squadron but was assigned to this flight and may have been a passenger.

He resided in Caddo Parish, Louisiana prior to the war.

B-25C #41-12483 took off, with 9 on board, from Charter Towers, Australia on a supply mission to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. After takeoff they were not seen nor heard from again. They are believed to have crashed in the Coral Sea.

Bryan was declared "Missing In Action" on this mission during the war.
