His next of kin was noted as being Mrs. Edith E. Domohowski who resided in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

Edward served as a Corporal & Engineer on A-20G-20-DO Havoc #42-86717, 8th Service Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Suffolk County, Massachusetts prior to the war.

A-20G #42-86717 took off, with a crew of 3, on a training mission from Nadzab Airfield, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea to Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

After takeoff they were not seen nor heard from again. It was later found out that they crashed into a steep slope in the Saruwaged Range, a few miles north of Nadzab Airfield. All three crew members were lost.

Edward was "Killed In Action" in the "Line Of Duty" on this mission during the war.

Service # 11093240

Also on this same training mission was A-20G #42-54155 which also crashed during their mission. ( see below )
