Having actually gone "Missing" on the above date, he was not officially declared by the military as being dead until February 14, 1946.

Husband of Eugenia G. Dobrisky who resided in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Andrew served as a First Lieutenant & Pilot on C-47A #42-92049, 67th Squadron, 433rd Troop Carrier Group, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Middlesex County, Massachusetts prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on April 8, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a construction machinery operator and also as Married.

C-47A #42-92049 took off, with a crew of 4, from Hollandia Airfield, Irian Jaya, Indonesia on a cargo mission to Biak, Indonesia. They are believed to have crash in or near Humboldt Bay, Jayapura, Indonesia for an unknown reason.

Andrew was declared "Missing In Action" on this mission during the war.

He was previously awarded the "Distinguished Flying Cross with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster", Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Purple Heart.
