Having actually gone "Missing" on the above date, he was not officially declared by the military as being dead until December 18, 1945.

Wilfrid's remains were recovered after the war.

It is currently unknown where he was interred.

A "Rosette" was placed in front of his name here at Manila to signify that his remains were recovered.

Wilfrid served as a Flight Officer & Pilot on P-47D #42-8059, 342nd Fighter Squadron, 348th Fighter Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Worcester County, Massachusetts prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 29, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinist and also as Single, without dependents.

Wilfrid was first declared "Missing In Action" and after his remains were recovered his status was changed to "Killed In Action"

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
