He was the son of Dr John Walter Bleasdale and Eunice Marguorite Moore of Colorado. His wife was Ellaoise (Palm) Bleasdale of San Antonio, Texas, and in their married life, resided in San Antonio, Texas.


The crew disappeared in New Britain, Papua New Guinea and are listed here in the virtual cemetery for B-17F #41-24458

Lt Col Bleasdale and Captain Daniel survived the crash and were captured and died as POWs. Information regarding Bleasdale's POW status was given in military documents with testimonials from Lt James Austin McMurria, Lt Jose L Holguin, and Lt Alphonse D Quinones.
