Having actually gone "Missing" on the above date, he was not officially declared by the military as being dead until October 6, 1945.

Kenneth served as a Flight Officer & Co-Pilot on B-25J #44-29265, 498th Bomber Squadron, 345th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

B-25J #44-29265 took off from San Marcelino, Philippine Islands to bomb Japanese ships near Swatow, China. They were hit by anti-aircraft fire from Japanese destroyer Amatsukaze and crashed into the Formosa Strait off China during the war.

Kenneth was declared "Missing In Action" in this crash.

He was awarded the "Distinguished Flying Cross" and the Purple Heart.
