He was the only son of Robert L McAdoo, Sr and Iris Marie Weaver of Overton TX. He married WAC/WAAC Elizabeth Jane Goeke 17 January 1943. She later married Samuel Floyd Harrill.

He disappeared at Assam India on a cargo flight to Hsinching, China 17 July 1945, when C-109 #44-49628 crashed. The crew members were~
