He was born July 28, 1973, in Kewanee to Ronnie and Kathy Raley Thompson.
Surviving are his parents of Galva; one sister, Mrs. David (Christine Thompson) Weidner of Buda; one brother, Greg of Galva; grandparents, Sherman Sr. and Becky Raley of Galva and Dorothy Thompson of New Boston; and nieces and nephews.
He worked at Abilities Plus in Kewanee, where he participated in bowling and basketball. He was a 1998 Illinois State Special Olympic Gold medalist. He graduated from Kewanee High School. He was a member of St.
John's Catholic Church in Galva.
A Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at his church. The Rev.
Bruce Lopez will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m.
Sunday at Rux Funeral Home, Galva, where recitation of the rosary will be at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Abilities Plus, Easter Seals or the Epileptic Foundation.
