Recently, there has been debate as to the spelling of his middle name of Ray or Roy. Vital papers shows both. We appreciate all persons efforts in trying to find the correct spelling.
Texas Birth Index clearly shows Roy, however this is not an official document and only a typed list of those born.
Texas Birth Certificate is disputed. It may appear as Roy, however several words that should be an "A" also appears an an "O".
U.S. Military Draft card clearly shows Ray.
U.S. Enlistment paper as well as others only show the initial of "R".
Even though unofficial, some genealogy findings on family tree searches shows both, mostly as Ray.
