He resided in Kings County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 29, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas. He was noted as being employed as a Railroad Conductor and also as Single, without dependents.

He had family residing at 185 Buckland Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York during the war.

He was "Killed In Action" over Nurenburg, Germany during the war when his plane exploded after flak hit it in the right wing. He was awarded a Purple Heart.
