Casimir served as a Second Lieutenant & Navigator on a B-17 #42-32053, 49th Bomber Squadron, 2nd Bomber Group, 15th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on January 29, 1942 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Shipping and receiving clerk and also as Married.

Casimir was "Killed In Action" when his B-17, while on a mission over Budapest, Hungary, was hit by enemy ground flak & enemy aircraft and crashed near Budapest during the war. He had served with the Air Corps for two year and five months at the time of his death and was awarded the Purple Heart.
