He resided in Blasdell, Erie County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on July 28, 1944 in Buffalo, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Plumber and also as Married.

Homer was "Killed In Action" in Germany during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
