Olga Amelia Shortt Atencio, 54, 1422-10th East, died Oct. 20 of natural causes at a local hospital.

Born June 9, 1918, Salt Lake City, to Charles and Mathilda Johnsen Shortt. Married Anthony W. Atencio Aug. 27, 1937, Salt Lake City; solemnized Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Recruitment chairman for Foster Parent Advisory Council.

Survivors: husband; sons, daughters, Michael Ray, Kaysville; Steven Walter, Sylvia Mary, both Salt Lake City; Linda Jean, Clearfield; Barbara Sue, Seaford, Va.; 5 grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Thomas O., John A., Charles, Mrs. Joyce Michels, Mrs. Corine Rowe, all Salt Lake City; Alfred, American Fork; Mrs. Elsie Cannon, Boulder, Colo.

Funeral Wednesday, noon, 36th LDS Ward Chapel, 1140-9th East. Friends call 255-2nd East, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at chapel an hour before services. Burial Murray City Cemetery.
