Richard was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wroblewski of Blasdell, New York. He graduated from Big Tree school and was employed by Bethlehem Steel before being inducted into the Army, December 18, 1942.
An airborne infantryman, he had participated in the North African, Sicilian and Italian campaigns. He was killed in action during the invasion of Normandy.

He was posthumously the recipient of the Purple Heart
