KIA 2-9-1943 as co-pilot of B-26B / #41-31629 / TQ-'V'/ 'Janet's Dream' / MACR 0516. Target: Lille Nord airfield, France. Hit by flak the right engine caught fire and the aircraft exploded and crashed just inside the French coast near Bergues.
