SIMMONS—LT. COL. CONRAD C., killed in action in France, June 24, beloved husband of Peggy T. Simmons and brother of Mrs. Ward L Cornell. Mrs. Lawrence C. Hull Jr. and Edward Brooks Simmons.

Memorial service at St. Ann's Church, Clinton and Living Streets, Brooklyn Heights, at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 1944.

World War 1; Attended Officers Training Corp, Aug. 6, 1918, at Plattsburgh, NY. Commissioned, 2nd Lieutenant Infantry, September 16, 1918. Discharged from the service, December 16, 1919.

Post War; Enlisted April 21, 1919, in Troop C, 51st Machine Gun Squadron ( Squadron A ), New York City. In 1925 the 51st Machine Gun Squadron is designated the 2nd Squadron, 101st cavalry. Nov. 22, 1940, Captain 101st Anti Tank Battalion.

World War 2: Federalized with the 101st Anti Tank Battalion , Jan 6, 1941. Promoted Major then LT Colonel Feb. 1, 1943. Killed in action, June 24, 1944, France.

Awarded the Silver Star
