A. Burlene Southward Mayden, a chemotherapy and stem cell transplant patient, died at the age of 58, at a Dallas Hospital.

Funeral Services were held at Highland Meadows Christian Church, Colleyville, TX, where Mrs. Mayden had been a member and was active with the Home Growth Group and choir for a number of years. A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

The daughter of Burl and Hazel Colline Southward, she attended Purcell Public Schools, Purcell, OK, and graduated in 1964 from Drumright High School, Drumright, OK.

She was predeceased by her mother, Hazel Colline Southward (1925-2004, buried at Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, Payne Co., OK), and a niece, Amy Lynn Southward, (1973-1973, buried at Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing, Payne Co., OK.)

Survivors: husband, Jim Mayden; sons, Michael and Jason Mayden; grandchildren, Claire and Brooke Mayden; father, Burl Southward, (1921-2008, Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, Payne Co. burial), Cleveland, OK; brother, Mike Southward; nieces and nephew, Andrea Heinig, Alicia Johansen and Steven Southward.
