Emmit E. Vancel died Wednesday, December 13, 1989, at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital. He was a Bill's Simple Simon's Tire & Car Care Center employee and a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in Occupied Japan.

Survived by wife, Hazel Vancel; mother, Mrs. Elsie McCraken, Pineville; four daughters; six sons; a sister, Mrs. Jane Mean, Pineville; two daughters-in-law; two sons-in-law; and 14 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by father, Howard W. Vancel.
